I provide an agent that runs at night and transfers records to another server of different domains. The work is performed using a similar server with the specified login authentication to the SQL system. Both servers are running SQL 2005 SP3.

About a week ago, the Independent started its work. I also tried to run the recorded feature job calls directly from SSMS and got a similar result. The remote server has the current setting set to “Remote Request Timeout” of one thousand two hundred minutes seconds) (20. The job is mostly done in 3-5 minutes before the error is usually thrown, but sometimes it’s after a few seconds, and sometimes it’s busy ) works as long as it takes a few minutes, but crashes every time.

I have the ability to easily execute related (e.g. select From *[remoteserver.domainname].master.dbo. system web requests) Without databases, the problem can be useful)

Run as user: domainuser.TCP Provider: An existing connection was forcibly closed with anyAbout the remote host. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 10054) Database provider ‘SQLNCLI’ ole for linked website ‘remoteserver.domainname’ returned link ‘link failed’. [SQLSTATE 01000] (error 7412). Step failed.

Ole database data provider “SQLNCLI” for linked server “remoteserver.Has domainname” encountered error 0x8000ffff while existing transaction rollback.

Recently, some operating system fixes have been applied to the core server, but nothing specific to the path to SQL Server. Help

Everyone remembers this very well, because I’m not tempted to bang my head on the table! Let me know if any additional information is helpful.

Is there any difficulty logging in with (SQL event log combined with Windows events) on the receiving server? Are you surprised every time something works that experts say locks up the server, drops connections, etc.? ?

SorrySorry, I’m stuck doing this in terms of SQL on each of our remote hosts – I don’t need to make sure you’re currently accessing the OS… yet… ..

Note that the den error I get in SSMS is slightly different from the vendor databases above:

OLE “SQLNCLI” for linked server “remoteserver.domain” message generated Link “link failed”.

TCP provider: A popular connection from a remote host was forcibly closed.

The bug seems pretty acute… I mentioned to you that it’s in another area. I wonder if they got caught in a certain ad replication cycle or something.

Unfortunately, it’s hard for you to tell what the problem is other than SQL Server.—————

I don’t use Windows Home authentication at all – only SQL authentication. Also worked at various times during the past week.

NoteHave there been any recent fixes for the server? I’ve noticed this before due to Microsoft Windows patches.

This is a little confusing to me, but I think the error means that something went wrong while logging into that particular account on the target server. Make sure the connection to the remote server is not timed out or just disconnected, all local/remote passwords are the same, and the default website continues remote and the connection is available to connect.

reported an error 0x8000ffff aborting the current transaction

Run as user: DOMAINUSER. TCP Provider: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. [SQLSTATE 42000] OLE (Error 10054) Database Data Provider ‘SQLNCLI’ for associated forum ‘remoteserver.domainname’ returned link ‘communication failed’. [SQLSTATE 01000] (error 7412). Step failed.

The error document states the following:

OLE DB practitioner “SQLNCLI” for “remote server server.domain reported name” error Aborting current transaction 0x8000ffff .< /p>

They are all verified beyond doubt, except for ” “the same password. The account I’ll be using to access the remote computer recovery server doesn’t actually exist on any local server – my linked server consists of “Die” for a connection not defined in the connection list above:. .. Stopped using this Context Security Name (username and hence password entered correctly).

I also see it connect and start running on the remote server. some weird/interesting info here:

    – In local server management I can see that it expects OLEDB and the spid is listed on the virtual server.

    – On the working monitor of the remote server, this spid is not listed – in fact, with all filters disabled! But if I issue a DBCC INPUTBUFFER(spid) command, where that spid is exactly the one I registered on the local server, I can see that the application is doing the insert it should allow….

So it seems to me that this is a problem with logging in to your account or withsome weird stuff. Also, I seem to have a problem with the OLEDB driver or something. Especially since I can run short queries without errors.

@Carolyn – YES – a small number of OS fixes have been released recently. Do customers remember how you fixed the problem when a major fix was to blame?
