Tips For Fixing Library To Save Particle Illusion Bugs

Hello. The first poster is here.

I’ve been using the PI3 for about two years and have developed… well, changed a few effects on my reproductions, such as replacing the emitter with a better phaser beam.

Now when I try to run the library I get “Error: connection failed at 0x00421F88 (attempt to read from 0x3858B068), program ended”

Can archives be restored? You must work for two years…

Your application folder may have a copy in the library_backup files.

Did you just try to change the library, or did it basically go wrong?

To my shame, I have to admit that it has become a standard library (no name, the standard still exists) that I edit almost a day later…

I think I might have emitters with the same name in the same folder, I also completed Particle Illusion with an image in it.

I tried dl 3.0.1 and 3.0.2 at the same time… although 3.0.2 says my PI3 folder is suffering, it’s not an .exe in it… but I could definitely see it… .

Is there a way to finally upload the library to, say, Rapidshare, but do any of you seem to use that too?

But I’ll try homebrew first…

For possible long-term situations like this, I do some things…

– I backup transmitters every time I make changes to your children. I have a jarl in my main Emitter folderyk to save, and I just drag and drop a file optimized a week ago into one of them. i

– Next to the title, create your own “best of” collections, keeping the originals in the properties folder. That way, when I get a degree, I’m sure I can go back and change everything.

Finally:

– Projects are indeed the best place to edit and tweak emitters: it’s much easier to manage when multiple undos are visible. Then, if I really want to get the winner and archive it, I can store it in a library and/or as a library.

I hope your situation can be taken advantage of.

I mean outside, particle illusion.

I could open the library and remove the misnamed emitters, or at least try to do so…

But even if such an editor exists, it probably won’t be able to load a corrupted library file.

If you zip your broken file and upload it somewhere, I’ll take a look and see what your problem is. It can be restored.
