    NFS 5 mount error

    Hello

I am trying to create an NFS share like this:

    Code:

Mount the NFS server: / share / mnt

sometimes crashes and the local / var / log / messages instructions “kernel: RPC: error 5 connected to the help server” and on the command line the mount command says “mount: server: / share can Not I’m reading the superblock.

The Internet computer (FreeBSD) does not report anything in / var / log / messages.

    nfs server error 5

    SusE client version: 10.0

Without changing anything, nfs may want to start mounting or stop in the future. Mounting works well for FreeBSD clients, and I don’t think the server is responsible for that.

Does this sound familiar to you?
    Ideas?

sometimes crashes and city / var / log / messages displays “kernel: RPC: error 5 devices server” and on the command line the locate command says “mount: server: / share cannot probe superblock”.

Without changing anything, the nfs stack may start or stop working at other times. Mounting works well for FreeBSD clients, so I don’t think the server blames them.

mount -t nfs server: / share / mnt

De-export, unmount disk – and fsck.

This is the server’s fault, isn’t it?
I conclude that the server is definitely ok as SuSE can mount some NFS clients at the same time and others not, but of course I could be wrong. Anyway, I don’t want this to help de-export and fsck, since this one is onThe walk must be available to other interested parties for at least a week prior to our own graduation from the university course.

So this suggests that the server is to blame, right?
I conclude that the server is fine as some SuSE clients can NFS mount at the same time and others cannot, but I could be wrong. Anyway, I don’t want to be able to remove exports and fsck just yet, as the share must be available to other helpful clients for at least a week before the end of the course in education my.

Just out of curiosity, do you know which version of NFS is being used here? I know which experts claim that NFS Linux version 2 clients connected to BSD version 2 NFS servers have had in the past problems, and the data is available through the web pages if a decent Google search is required.

I’m wondering if you know which NFS style is used here? I know that NFS Linux version 2 users connecting to NFS BSD version 2 hosting servers have had problems in the past, and that there is data that counts on the web pages for validation. “Decent Internet search.
