Itemprop=”text”>server was probably listed originally. I can ping the entire server with a single command with a string IP address.
Thanks for your continued help.

In your DSN tryuse the Internet computer’s IP address instead of the server name.

Hello
I am facing the same issue as my family (same error) My app using these DSNs I created earlier works because I have set all connection timeouts no restrictions. However, when I enter theGovernance Objective and try to test it, I see this error. I’m having trouble with this because I can’t add unique DSNs for the server.
SQL seems to be taking a very long time to respond.
Any other ideas how to solve this problem?

So you are you really getting this when connecting to the DSN.Try the machine you’re having trouble with and fix the SQL server. Also use named IPs or connections?

Hello
I can ping SQL from my client – no problem. I’m using Connections ip.
By the way, all my clients have the same problem with SQL and DSN errors.
Thank you,
Dan

Hi Dan!
You should be able to ping IP- the address of a man or a woman, right? Have you tried connecting via Query Analyzer on the client? DSNs use ODBC, as do QAs. There is no magic in DSN, it’s just a way to store the connection string outside of the application. Also, when it comes to collections, there really isn’t any difference between system, say user, and file DSNs. Are you working with SQL or NT authentication? Did you move the profiler during testing to see what exactly happens when something happens? What type of latency do you see when your company pings/traces? I suspect it’s a vendor issue and not an SQL issue. I dreamed of installing and testingGet the latest MDAC from the customer.
