I Want To Watch A Movie, But This Item Won’t Open – Or- No Video – Or – No Sound. What Should I Do?
- Identify the movie’s video file and audio format (e.g. due to .avi file, DivX video and AC3 audio).
- Find, download and install the part of QuickTime that will play (decompress) DVDs and possibly another for audio.
- If compatible components are not available, try an alternative player that supports movie, video, and audio files dioformats.
- While very few alternative OS X players support this image, you can use similar players and OS 9 components in Classic (on Macs with PowerPC processors) or compatible online Windows players in an emulator like trying VirtualPC
- How to run Enthusiast in Rosetta on a Mac with a single Intel processor to allow the player to use non-generic components again
Note. Videos encoded with the H.264 codec must be played using QuickTime for version 7.

Digital Rights Management usually requires a brand new decryption key to play encrypted media.
Apple FairPlay (m4p)
Music and videos found in the iTunes Store Music use the Apple DRM (FairPlay) process. Playback must be “authorized” by ITMS. The saved authorization keys are located in /Users/Shared/SC Info/SC Info.sidb and refer to the computer on which theAuthorization received (via the built-in private Ethernet port’s MAC address). Up to five simultaneous permissions per document are allowed. It is possible to deauthorize the PC, which prevents the file from being read, removes the authorization/decryption key from the SC Info.sidb file on the PC, and reduces the number of authorizations used.
Microsoft Windows Media Digital Rights Management
On Mac OS X, Microsoft only supports the very first version of Windows Media DRM (via Windows Media Player 9). New versions of WMV DRM require Microsoft Windows, the Microsoft Windows Media Player 10 variant (Windows only), and license keys for each media file.
