Whatto find out if the awesome DLL was registered, you really need to bring subject knowledge. When someone knows DLL is COM. registered An object with a specific CLSID, you and your family can check if this CLSID is there actually signed up.

Okay, you can’t, but DLLs are usually registered and create an entry using the registry. Workaround:

    1. First, your company needs to determine the COM GUID associated with the DLL. If you have a host that it is already registered with, the client can:
      1. Open and change the search for the DLL file name.
      2. If you save, you will receive the name of the file under the key, which is in our TypeLib. The key looks like this: 9F3DBFEE-FD77-4774-868B-65F75E7DB7C2
    2. If you now know the DLL’s GUID, you can use this influence to find it at the DOS prompt: reg query HKCR CLSID | find / I "9F3DBFEE-FD77-4774-868B-65F75E7DB7C3"

Perhaps a better answer would allow me to find the GUID from the file it was previously documented in. At least this way you can run a scripted installation andSee if it has been installed successfully.

    Where are registered DLL stored?

Regsvr32 is a command line utility used to register and unregister OLE controls such as DLLs and ActiveX devices from the Windows registry. Regsvr32.exe is configured in the% systemroot% System32 folder on Windows XP and later versions of Windows.

I needed to make sure the DLL was registered with some information and I used this payload in my BAT:

      reg query / s hklm software classes / f what.dllif error level 1 reaches DLL_MISSING

If the control was sent to a label for the error level, if the request reg did not find anything. You may need to improve part of the registry every time you do a search (in my case HKLM '... , more accurate way, if not faster, the program does take a long time).

This can often be displayed if needed and the GUID of the entry can be retrieved, but this is usually due to the scope of the Reg query command.

To find blog posts about registering (and possibly COM objects) for a DLL from the command line, the combination linked to the answers from @ virgo47 and @neves / p> worked best for me

    1. Search the registry for the entries that contain your current DLL name. These entries mostly use GUIDs as keys.

How do I see all registered DLLs?

3 reviews. To view all registered DLLs, you can use the following free utilities: RegDllView is a tool to view dll / ocx / exe documents saved on your system and can also register DLL files from Explorer. ListDLLs is another tool that reports directly loaded DLL processes.

      reg ask / s hklm software classes / f what.dll

    2. (optional) Find the COM elements that have been registered for most GUIDs. (Using / s / f "GUID" should be better than | / i findstr "GUID" . And | find / i "GUID" ) seems like a huge mistake (but I can't comment on a typo about serverfault yet).)

      Request Reg HKCR CLSID / s / f "9F3DBFEE-FD77-4774-868B-65F75E7DB7C3"
