Problem
When searching for virtual machines with a new policy on a backup VMware host that cannot access all of the vCenters defined on the primary website, a pop-up window appears with the error “Request expired (195)”.

Solution
When creating a NetBackup policy, the administrator must specify which virtual machines will be reactivated. One approach is to have NetBackup scan the network and list all available dedicated machines. OneHowever, if your VMware environment contains many VMware servers and virtual machines, listing them all may take too long. For example, consider an environment with 10 vCenter servers. In order to protect virtual machines according to vCenter Server Model 10, it is considered unnecessary to search for confidential machines on all 10 servers. If any of the vCenter servers are definitely not available from the VMware backup package, the firewall configuration will result in a timeout error, which is absolutely inevitable.
To avoid timeout errors when attempting to connect to unavailable vCenter servers, it was necessary to exclude any unavailable VMware servers from scanning.
When NetBackup scans the network for virtual machines, NetBackup only queries the VMware server that is not on the Denied List for the VMware Backup Host.
Regarding the limits for VMware servers that NetBackup includes for each VMware host:
