To access the BIOS on a specific Windows PC, you must press the manufacturer-specified BIOS key, which can be F10, F2, F12, F1, or DEL. If your computer POST is too fast, you can also access the BIOS through the Advanced Recovery Settings in the Windows 10 boot menu.

Method 1: Via Any Windows Operating System

- Click Close when the function is complete.
- If the downloaded BIOS update archive is an application (for example, Q5WV1113.exe), easily copy it to your flash drive. Pay attention to the exact name of the entire file.
- If it is a ZIP archive (for example, BIOS_Gateway_1.13_A_A.Double zip), click to open it. Open the file of the authorized person there. Open the file named DOS. Copy all his messages to the USB flash drive you just made bootable.
- Now connect your flash drive to most target systems whose BIOS you want to flash / update. Turn it on. Press ESC or F10 (or F12 on other models) when the gateway screen is displayed during boot to access some type of boot menu.
- On some models, you can enable boot options by going to BIOS setup via F2 or F1, most likely then to the Main tab, be sure to enter the F12 boot menu and make sure it is activated. Save changes and restart your system.
- Now mark your stick / USB stick in the boot menu of the boot menu. Hit Enter and come back to run it.
- You may well see the Command Prompt window. Type C: and press Enter.
- Enter dir to list the files on the disk when the lid is closed.
- Now enter the exact filename of someone’s BIOS update executable that you copied; Q5WV1113.exe and press Enter. When you have copied the contents of the zip folder, type after autoexec.bat and press Enter.
