PROBLEM:
Exact Audio Copy 1.3 (EAC1.3) vs. Windows 10 Professional 64-bit: Crashes and attempts not to start
– Lots of pop-ups- ‘Unhandled Exception ‘Property Violation’ ‘Access’ message found next to
SOLUTION:
– Download wnaspi32.dll (provided)
– copy it to WindowsSystem32
– copy it to WindowssysWOW64 OK if you have you have a 64-bit OS
– restart your computer
– try EAC now.It should work.
NOTE: The EAC website insists that wnaspi32.dll is not required for version EAC 1.1 – this statement seems I spent ages trying to figure this out – after believing them, I first tried EVERYTHING I could think of. I almost did NOT try to post w naspi32.dll… before completely losing EAC.
DETAIL:
Here’s what I wanted before I found the above solution:
I started many things includingbut not limited to:
-removing installed K-Lite codecs/codec packs
-downsizing other audio software, closing other computer programs, clearing temporary files/cache,
-changing to another account (trying to run EAC in it),
– create another (new) account and try to run EAC in this account
– run EAC as administrator,
– EAC uninstall/reinstall EAC1.1,
– EAC removed/registry settings removed/EAC reinstalled,
– EAC reinstalled as administrator,
– EAC starts with different compatibility settings (Windows XP SP1.3, Windows 7, etc.) , EAC starts as soon as possible, that’s how it WORKS!

no Then I didn’t download wnaspi32.dll from another website and put it in windowssyswow64, restarted and started EAC. No dice.
(There were a lot less message boxes – this time it was basically “Access Violation Error” and “ASPIProc2570” was mentioned.) I thought I could come up with a point. I also copied wnaspi32.dll to WindowsSystem32. then rebooted andTried to run again this time.
THIS TIME HE FOUND!!
Can EAC rip to MP3?
Rip / Rip CD Step 2: Click the CMP icon on the left to start ripping these tracks to compressed files (MP3), then navigate to the destination folder. Step 3 Wait for EAC to rip your tracks to MP3, then enjoy your music.

How do I find metadata in EAC?
You will check if it is installed in EAC Options->Audio Plugins. If you want to use MusicBrainz, go to the metadata options and select “CUETools DB Metadata Plugin” from the list.
Note. The website states that EAC version 1.1 does NOT require Wnaspi32.dll. This is clearly not true. So…. I’m downloading wnaspi32. Here is the DLL for those of you who need it. Ignore EAC. They don’t seem to know how to use this software.
