Dell Service Pack (DUP)
Using Dell Specific Service Packs (DUPs) is a quick and easy way to write firmware or drivers for all system components at multiple levels or separately. A DUP is usually an executable file that contains the firmware as a separate component.
- Online Method – Update all Dell EMC PowerEdge 12G, 13G, or 14G server firmware in one step, e.g.Provided by a platform-specific bootable ISO file. Updates are performed automatically after launching the self-launching ISO forum. This method requires a properly configured iDRAC, an external internet connection, and easily takes up to an hour.
- Standalone Method – For servers and purifiers with no iDRAC configured or no external internet connection, this is another way to update all server firmware in one step. The ISO file must be transferred to a bootable storage device.
