This guide is designed to help you when you receive a command to check for open ports in a Windows 2008 error code.
PC running slow?
netstat /? Displays protocol search and current TCP / IP network connections. -a Show all connections and monitoring ports.
When you configure any number of networking programs in the Wind operating systemows, you need to know what locations are open on the server computers. Windows makes it easy to find open locations by entering the appropriate commands at any command prompt. Once you reach these points, you can use the port number to successfully connect to a specific port, close the port, or perform various other multimedia tasks.
Open a Command Prompt by clicking Start, then All Programs, then Accessories, and then Command Prompt.
How check port is open in CMD?
Open the Start Menu, type Command Prompt and look at Run as Administrator. Now type netstat -ab and hit Enter. Wait for the solutions to load. Port names are billed by local IP address. Just find the port number you want and if it says LISTENING in the status column it means your port is open.
Listen to free seats by calling netstat | … Type -an at the command line, and / i “listen” will appear. Typically press Enter on your keyboard and wait for all ports displayed on the screen to be displayed.
Make sure these ports are configured or active on the site by typing netstat -an | find / i is “installed” ‘on the command line. Windows can search for all failed ports.

Displays fast TCP connections, ports the laptop is listening on, Ethernet statistics, IP card reader table, IPv4 statistics (for IP, ICMP, TCP, and UDP), and IPv6 Typical (for IPv6, ICMPv6, TCP over IPv6 and UDP. over IPv6). Used when no parameters are available, netstat displays active TCP connections. See Examples to see how this command can still be used.
Syntax
Netstat [-a] [-e] [-n] [-o] [-p ] [-r] [-s] []
Parameters
-a |
Shows all active TCP connections, TCP-UDP and ports that the computer is actually listening on. |
-e |
Displays Ethernet statistics such as the number of bytes and packets sent and received. This option can be combined with -s. |
-n |
Indicates that TCP is active, but connections, addresses, and Prt numbers are numerical and there is no intent to assign names. |
-o |
Displays active TCP connections and contains a step ID (PID) for each connection. You can find your app nbased on the PID of each process in the Windows Task Manager tab. This option can be combined with -a, – and -p. |
-p |
Displays connections for the specified process protocol. In this case, the Can protocol can be tcp, udp, tcpv6, or udpv6. If this parameter is used because of -s to display the statistics log, the log can be tcp, udp, icmp, ip, tcpv6, udpv6, icmpv6, or ipv6. |
-s |
Displays method statistics. By default, statistics are displayed for your UDP, TCP, ICMP, and IP protocols. If IPv6 is installed, statistics are usually displayed for TCP over IPv6, Over udp IPv6, ICMPv6, and IPv6. The -p option can be used to specify a number of protocols. |

Displays the contents of the IP routing table. This would be equivalent to the print route command. |
|
Re-displays the selected information at intervals of one second. Press Ctrl + c to stop redisplaying. If this parameter is often omitted, netstat will probably print the selected information once. |

Parameters specified in the command must be preceded by a hyphen (-) instead of a hyphen (/).
-
Netstat provides statistics for the following:
-
Prototype
Address name (TCP or UDP protocol)
-
The local IP address of the local computer, as well as the port number to use. Displays the word local machine that matches the IP address and port name, unless -n is often specified as an option. If a connection has not yet been established, the port number is displayed with an asterisk (*).
-
Address abroad
How do I check if a port is open windows?
On a new Windows computer Press Windows Key + R, type cmd.exe and click OK. Enter “telnet + IP address or hostname + docking station number” (for example telnet www.example.com 1723, on the other hand telnet 10.17. Xxx. Xxx 5000) to run telnet command on the command line and port status TCP. test.
The IP address and port number of the management computer to which the socket belongs. Names that match the IP address and port are displayed until the -n option is specified. If a specific port has not yet been configured, the port number is displayed with an asterisk (*).
-
(Status)
Show the status of my TCP connection. Possible states:
CLOSE_WAIT
CLOSED
LOADED
FIN_WAIT_1
FIN_WAIT_2
LAST_ACK
LISTEN
SYN_RECEIVED
SYN_SEND
TIMED_WAIT
Other docs on dob statesFor TCP, see RFC 793.

This available command is only available if Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) can be installed on network connections as a component of the capabilities of the network adapter.
Examples
To view both Ethernet and statistics for these statistics for all protocols, enter:
netstat -e -s
How do you check which ports are open in Windows Server 2008?
On the server itself, netstat -an checks which broadcasts are listening. From the outside, just write the port of the telnet host (or telnet host: port on Unix systems) to see if the connection was rejected or accepted unambiguously or if it timed out.
To view statistics for TCP and UDP only, enter:
netstat -s -p tcp udp
To view active TCP connections and specific process IDs every 5 seconds, enter:
netstat -i 5
To view active TCP connections and each of our numerical process IDs, enter:
netstat -nord -o
