I like my new version, but I am using a big exception. Boot times can be ridiculously long – around 40 seconds, with just a few seconds to a minute between pressing the power button and starting the desktop. I was wondering if any of you had this problem and hoping that this is not a hassle-free solution, or if the card just needs some BIOS tweaking because it is still so new. I’ll list below what I tried to list in the first place to see if there might be any conflicts.

Here are the details about my PC:

– Win 10 Companies
– Asus ROG Rampage VI Extreme
– i9 7940X Security Watch
– 128GB Corsair Vengeance Ram Samsung xmp @ 3000
– 960 Pro m.2 NVME 512GB vs. windows drives in o sec M.Socket 2_1 or higher (the one under the chipset screen)
– 960 Pro m.2 nvme 2TB one in DIMM.2_SLOT slots (next to RAM)
– 850 Evo 2to hot swap
– Reader HGST Deskstar 4 TB 7200
– Waterblock Gigabyte Aorus 1080ti
– wheel EK Coolstream PE 360 mm
– Pump combination EK xres revo d5
– I have an internal NZXT USB 2.0 hub that is usually used to connect some things like a USB 2.0 front panel, Corsair effects unit / fan hub, 6 RGB ceiling fans and 4 LED strips.

The following happens and what exactly have I tried:

I press the power button and the computer turns on. The monitor turns on after about 20 seconds, and after a few seconds the US Megatreds POST message appears for about 5 seconds. It will then go to a successful 10 black screen with a blue icon to reload the screen and then quickly jump straight to the window. Sometimes the PC has to bypass the 10 boot screen especially quickly, sometimes it freezes for 10 seconds or more. It is common everywhere, but not always the same.

I downloaded and installed Samsung NVME drivers. can’t pass meset of medical analyzes in accordance with the system. I moved the station header from w_pump + 1 to the high amp fan header on the motherboard (not very good), so I tried to remove the different connections on that board one by one to see if it was causing something and it got stuck … I removed one of the era 1 USB 3.1 connectors (bad), cleaned and deleted the internal USB 2.0 NZXT website (not good), tried to boot with only 1x16GB of RAM (bad), tried to remove all drives except 960, has a bootable 512 GB disk under the chipset’s protective cover (not very good). I am really confused about what is happening with this system and why it takes a long time to get it up and running. I wonder if you think a complete reinstallation of Windows is necessary?

Any help or idea is appreciated at this point. I bought almost everything for Amazon, but I don’t have a 30 day return window. So if there is a sub-normal part, it will even need an RMA guarantee from the company (which I REALLY expect and avoid?). I hate to think I wasted all this money on these types of NVME drivesjust to make them boot slower compared to what my old Windows XP IDE HDD 5400 RPM systems had from 10+ years ago. I am thinking about trying to install windows to the nvme drive when it is usually ONLY the drive present on the system, or insert it into the DIMM slot. 2, or just see what happens when I turn it on instead, organize your 850 EVO and take it see if it’s faster. I know that this particular R6E is a brand new card, it might just be an advantage for the BIOS, but either I’m a little stuck, please keep going …. halfway there !!
