You can reproduce the problem at will by doing the following:
1 . Upgrade BI Publisher 11.1.1.7 to 11.1.1.9.
2. Download the reports from the OBIEE catalog using the archive and then unzip it.
3. All reports work fine except for a few reports. The above error occurs at runtime.
An error has been documented in OBIEE when opening an RTF report generated from a data model. How to fix the error
In OBIEE RTF, when I try to run a layout based on the data model, I get the following error (see also the attached screenshot available for the interface where the error was displayed):
The reason for opening the RTF layout might be that the report should automatically display all columns of the data model. Instead of fetching a column for a specific period of time from the data model of interest to the report in the report configuration, choose the following steps to complete this valuable task (check out @Robert Fighiroae,to find out how this solution is effective):

I found that all the services were ready and didn’t go through the bi editor specifically. It turned out that after looking at the logs,It said that when I installed all the software (pretty sure there was no new step!), the repository didn’t seem to be set up.

To do this, you need to declare our own ORACLE_INSTANCE environment variable.you can either link it in a terminal window, although below are theWhich one is where I put it in the file type bash_profile .File which is insidedirectory /home/oracle.
vi /home/oracle/.bash_profile
Make and save your changes, then save the file. You also need to make sure you run die.bash_profile by typing my following command
. /home/oracle/.bash_profile
