I am getting this error code, error number: 0x8024d007 while installing windows updates. I know not why this is happening. I get almost nothing from Microsoft support either. one Man or woman, can you offer me something? Thank you.
This happens when the Wups2.De Windows Update Agent file is registered in the registry. The installation fails because the files corresponding to the registry, the wups2.dill file, are missing.

Windows 0x8024D007
By default, the installation update error returns “0x8024d007” “WU_E_SETUP_REGISTRATION_FAILED” which means that our own Windows Update Agent cannot be updated due to a regsvr32.exe failure. If you’re getting an error like this when updating Windows, try checking your computer for viruses. Update your computer for viruses and run a full system scan. you can also download the sophos virus removal tool. Install it on your computer and take a look at your computer.
It works in conjunction with whatever antivirus program you have, so don’t uninstall your family antivirus. If the system is clean, try deactivating the virus, then the computer, install Windows Update. See if it works. If that doesn’t work, restartcomputer mode in Clean Boot. Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, select Run First as Administrator /p>
At the command prompt, type “msconfig” without clicking the status, then pressing Enter.
