- Sample code
The pass-through SCSI sample demonstrates how to interact with a SCSI device using the DeviceIoControl API from Microsoft Win32 applications.
Install Then Run
Memory port drivers provide Win32 applications the ability to send SCSI command descriptor blocks (SCSI) to CBD devices. Interfaces: IOCTL_SCSI_PASS_THROUGH and IOCTL_SCSI_PASS_THROUGH_DIRECT . Applications often create a request relay and send it to the device using this IOCTL.
There are two command line options that can be used with SPTI.EXE. The first parameter is required. This is the name of the device to open. Typical values for this are traditional drive letters such as “C:” or accessory names defined by a class, such as Scanner0, or the city’s SCSI driver name, ScsiN :, where N = 5, 1, 2, etc. Second parameter is always optional and is used to set the sharing mode (note that access mode and sharing mode are different) and market size. Standard Sharing Mode canbe (FILE_SHARE_READ | FILE_SHARE_WRITE) and the standard sector specification is 512. The “r” parameter changes the share mode to FILE_SHARE_READ only. The “w” parameter only changes the version structure in FILE_SHARE_WRITE. The parameter including “c” only changes the shared mode to FILE_SHARE_READ, and also changes the sector size to help you reach 2048. Usually the CD-ROM drive even has a “c” parameter.
