IMPORTANT:

• Recovery media must complete this procedure. If you do not have discs, you can use VAIO Recovery Center to recover them.

• If our computer supports additional drives, use identical SATA DVD drives whenever possible. If you set different sizes, the storage capacity may be limited by the size of the smallest disk.

1. Restart your computer and press the F2 key from the VAIO home screen.
2. On the screen of the utilityFor BIOS setup, press the right arrow until the Advanced Costs button is highlighted.
3. Press the down arrow keys until the RAID configuration is finally highlighted, in which case press Enter.
4. Use the up or down arrow keys to browse, then select Media. Be sure to press Enter.

9. To delete a RAID configuration, use the arrow keys to select Delete RAID Volume, then press the Delete key.
   

   If you have deleted a RAID set and do not want to create a new one, select Exit and press Enter if necessary. If you want to create another RAID volume, follow these steps.

10. To create a RAID configuration, use the arrow keys to select Create Good Hard RAID Volume.
11. Type a name for the zone, then press Enter.RAID.
12. Select level 0 and press Enter.

    NOTE. Although it is possible to purchase othersOther RAID levels, only the initially configured RAID level is supported.

13. Select a tape size (128KB recommended at no charge) and press Enter.
14. Select Capacity, then press Enter.
