The following entry / etc / system sets some maximum ZFS ARC values ( zfs_arc_max ) to pretty decent GB.

Recovering an erroneous value

Make a copy of the / etc / system file before modifying it so you cancan completely recover from a wrong value. For example:

`Kmdb`

command

kmdb a is an interactive kernel debugger using the same general syntax as mdb .The only advantage of the interactive kernel debugger is that you can set breakpoints. Whenactually hit the breakpoint, you can check the data or at runtimekernel code.

kmdb can still be loaded and unloaded as needed.You don’t need to place betsReboot your system to do interactive kernel debugging, as this is easy with kadb .

The mdb modular debugger is authentic among Solaris debuggers because it is lightweightexpandable. A programming API is available that can be used to compile modules.the desired tasks in the context of the debugger.

mdb also includes a number of desired usability features including command line editing, commandHistory, built-in output pager, format checker, and command pipeline. mdb is prescribed by doctors at autopsy.Kernel debugger.

When using kmdb or the mdb debugger is often not prefixed to the module namenecessary. After loading this module, its icons form almost all common areas.by the name of the kernel kernel symbols and any other celebrities from a previously loaded module.

For example, ufs: ufs_WRITES will display as ufs_WRITES in any debugger (assumingUFS item loaded). The ufs: prefix is required in / etc / system file.
