This usually happens because ActiveSync on mobile devices by default tries to find the SSL virtual directory as a workaround for a specific problem. You can follow these steps

A) Create an additional virtual directory for ActiveSync and OMA access

1. Start Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager from the Administration Tools.
2. Locate the Exchange virtual directory, for example Sites Default Web Site Exchange
3. Right-click the Exchange All Return Tasks folder and select Save Configuration to File.
4. In File, enter a name in the name field. For example, enter ExchangeVDir. Click OK.
5. Right-click the root of this website. This is usually the default website. Click And New, then click Virtual Directory (From File).
6. In the Import Configuration dialog box, click Browse, locate the data you created in step 4, pause Open, then click Read and click File.
7. Under “Select a configuration” to import only Exchange and click “OK”.
