psp disc could not be read error

    Updated September 22, 2017

Games developed for Sony PSP are available in a disc format called UMD. These UMDs are about half the size of a regular CD or DVD. Games are inserted into your PSP’s disc drive and can most likely be played using the built-in control buttons. If your PSP suddenly stops playing UMD games, there are a few things that someone might be trying to bring back for use.

Inspect the underside of the UMD for dust or scratches. Dust can be removed with a dry cloth daily. Removing scratches, however, requires the special use of an external device like the Significant Game Doctor or Skip Doctor, many of which are available online and at electronics stores that sell video games. Removing dirt, grime and scratches allows the PSP to help you read the disc without errors.

Make sure you continue to properly insert the game disc into the PSP. The side of the UMD containing the label, commonly referred to as the name of the game, must face up, which the user inserts. The disc can be inserted in reverse, but the PSP cannot currently receive access п to the data on the UMD to strain the game.

Restart your PSP. Press and hold the Power button until the GPS watch turns off completely. This allows you to bypass a kind of “sleep” mode and completely switch to the delivery device. Remove the battery from the PSP part and let it sit for a few minutes, usually no more than five. Insert the battery back into the PSP and try to play the UMD disc again. This will erase any memory errors that caused the PSP to be unable to read the disc.

Open “Settings” in the PSP recipe and update the PSP firmware. This requires the PSP to be connected to the Internet. If you have a computer, you can also download the PSP setup from the Sony website and transfer the file from the computer to the PSP using a rechargeable flash card. Insert the flash card into the PSP and restart the console by restarting the firmware. This will fix any issues that caused the PSP to be unable to play devices due to incompatible firmware.

I’m sorry if this is a frequent question, but I just got a Christmas psp and am having problems loading.

I have two games (Persona 3Portable and LBP), but when I load the video to the rear panel, the system boots for a few minutes before it says “Failed to play CD.” I checked the car laser by holding the inductor and watching the laser pulsate up and down and the windows are absolutely not scratched.

Does anyone know what could be some reason? I can’t find exact information, and besides, I don’t understand what the malfunction might be. Also, the system has no control over the security of my Wi-Fi, so I don’t know how to update it

My PSP worked fine when the game day was suddenly interrupted while playing. After restarting, I had a Blue Screen Death. Pressing O launched it, but when they hit the wavy screen, the line just stayed there, the lines wiggled and the icons didn’t appear.

I eventually found that by removing the UMD from the PSP, it booted completely together and seemed to work fine. However, I put the UMD in a specific location and restarted it, it formed exactly the same wavy line without a symbol.

If I turn on the UMD during boot, you can hear it spinning It is a UMD lifter, and after about two minutes you will receive an error message “The disc cannot be read continuously.”

This happens with ALL UMDs (I have 8). I let people walk me from turning off the power to replacing the motherboard. Before I go any further, I need to know EXACTLY some really fake information so I don’t waste my investment. The hopeful PSP tech is definitely listening.
