Windows Ky 7 64-bit Installation Fails With OpenVPN 2.2.1

I just downloaded version 2.2.1 to use a Windows 7 laptop for review. The installer says “Unable to write: c:program files (x86)OpenVPNbinlibeay32.dll”. It’s not a typo, the filename is libeay32 .dll

I stopped charging again and made a second attempt with a concrete result.

I tried installing 2.0.9 using the GUI, but W7-64 requires people to be logged in as well, so the install also failed.

7/13 I downloaded and installed 2.2.To 1 on an old XP laptop. It seems to have been installed correctly, it shows the logo above the taskbar, but does not display or open a window. I have tried many other downloads on a W7 laptop other than this install with the above error.

This problem is solved thanks to George’s advice: “Try creating a folder C:UsersusernameOpenVPN and install it there.” Everything is fine and OpenVPN seems to work fine on W7.

Re: Installing 64-bit Windows 7 Fails With OpenVPN 2.2.1

How do I fix libeay32 dll missing?

If libeay32. dll occurs when using the selected program, reinstalling the program should replace, I would say, the file. Do your best to complete this step. Reinstalling the program that provided the file, if possible, is probably the best solution for this DLL error.

JD64 wrote: I just received version 2.2.1 for testing on a Windows 10 laptop. Installer title: “Failed to write: c:Program Files (x86 )OpenVPNbinlibeay32.dll”. This is not a typo, the name of the music file is libeay32.dll.

< p>I ran most of the download again and did a second try with the same result.

I had experience installing 2.0.9 using the GUI but W7-64 requires signed drivers so troubleshooting also fails.

How do I get libeay32 dll?

The only thing to watch out for is the fact that when you install openssl you get an interesting prompt asking where you want to place dependent DLLs. Of course, do this to put it on the windows system directory website like other programs like curl, but wget will also need it. Download libeay32. dll and ssleay32.

7/13 I downloaded and installed step 2.2.To 1 on an old XP laptop. It seems to be installed correctly, the touchscreen shows the logo on the taskbar but doesn’t actually display or open a window. I tried another download on a W7 laptop and the installation clearly resulted in the error described above.

    Suggestions?

This problem is based entirely on George’s suggestion: Somewhere between “Try creating a folder in C:UsersusernameOpenVPN and install it there. This works and OpenVPN seems to work fine on W7.

If users use the “Run as administrator” installer, they will probably never get this error.

JD64 writes: I just got version 2.2.1 to install on a few laptops to test Windows. In the installation guide “Failed to write: c:program files (x86)OpenVPNbinlibeay32.dll” This is not a typo, the name information is reported as libeay32.dll.< /p>

I redid the paper load and looked again with the same result.

I tested installing version 2.0.9 using the GUI, but W7-64 requires signed drivers, so the installation also failed.

7/13 I downloaded and installed version 2.2 on an old XP laptop. It seems to be installed correctly, shows the system tray logo but doesn’t show it and doesn’t open the windshield. Tried another download on a W7 laptop and install with the “none” error above.

This problem is mostly solved based on George’s suggestion: “Try opening the C:UsersusernameOpenVPN folder and installing that too. It works and OpenVPN seems to work fine on W7.”

I redid the upload and submitted a second attempt with the same final product.

I tried to install 2.0.9 and the GUI, but W7-64 requires signed drivers, so the installation also failed.

7/13 I downloaded and installed 2.2.To 1 on an old XP laptop. It still seems to install fine, showing the tray logo but not displaying it and/or possibly opening a window. I tried another search on a W7 laptop and installed most of them with the error described above.

    Suggestions?

This condition is resolved based on George’s hint: “Try creating a folder in C:UsersusernameOpenVPN and install it there. “Actually works and OpenVPN seems to work greataet on W7 .

Actually, I have the same opinion. When installing the program, everything freezes! There is someone out there who needs help… please…

Rebuild libeay32.Reinstall the program by typing libeay32.Install OpenSSL to connect your computer to libeay32.If your site is using Symantec Endpoint Protection and is investigating an error launching ClientRemote.exe, replication of libeay32.Run a virus / malware scan linking your entire system.

I stopped charging again and then made a second attempt with only one result.

I tried installing 2.0.9 using the GUI, but W7-64 requires the staff to log in, so the installation also failed.

7/13 I downloaded and installed 2.2.To 1 on an old XP laptop. It looks like you can install fine, shows the bucket logo but doesn’t show any simple facts or doesn’t open a window. I tried to download on a W7 laptop, but the above error occurred while installing.

This problem is solved based on George’s advice: “Try creating a folder C:UsersusernameOpenVPN and install it there. It works and OpenVPN seems to work fine on W7.

This fixed issue is generally based on George’s suggestion: “Publish a folder to C:UsersusernameOpenVPN and put it there. It works, and OpenVPN really works great on W7.”< / p>

Re: Windows 7 OpenVPN 64-bit Install Not Working 2.2.1

Any installation must be done with elevated privileges. Compatible mode doesn’t give you elevated privileges, so it doesn’t make it easy. If the libeay32.dll file cannot be created and you are running with elevated privileges, then you have a problem with the antivirus that mistakenly detects a virus, or the device is really infected.
