We’ll walk you through the steps of searching the Windows Update catalog to find the updates you need. You can then download the updates yourself to install users on a home or work network connected to Microsoft Windows computers.

Steps To Download Updates From The Windows Update Catalog

To download updates from the Windows Update Catalog, follow these steps:

Step 1. Change To The Current Windows Update Directory

Step 2. Check For Updates Based On The Windows Update Catalog

To search for news in the Windows Update Catalog in the Update Catalog, follow these steps:

1. Enter your preferred search terms in the search text box. Example: You can moderate the security of Windows Vista.
2. Click Search or press Enter.
3. Scroll through the list that appears to select the updates you want to download.

   Click the update link in the pop-up web publication and save the file in the default path. You can right-click the link and select Save Directly from the specified path and. You can enter the full path to the folder or click the Browse button to find the folder.

3. Close Download this and Windows Update Catalog window.

   After you have downloaded the driver’s door installer, go to the Install Driver section.

5. Double-click the update, then follow the instructions to install it frequently. If the updates are for a different computer, copy the updates to that computer, and then double-click the updates they can install.

When all the items added by your company to the download list have been saved, the installation is complete.

Install the driver

1. Open a command prompt from the start menu.

2. To extract the driver files, create the following command with the inspire command and press Enter:

     expand  -F:*

  The software update has not completed, this method was not successfully processed by the Windows update software.

• The following message may appear Error:

  Administrators only (-2146828218) To install Windows Update items, you must be logged on as an administrator or as a member of the Administrators group. If your computer is connected to a network while traveling, network policy settings may also prevent you from completing this procedure.
