The First Thing To Do

But you can’t lately add a shortcut to the control panel executable in any of these group directories and expect it to appear at # 1 in the Win + X menu. If you only have frequent access to the dashboard and don’t want to add extra icons to someone’s desktop, the easiest way to access the entire dashboard is to customize it by entering the built-in control in Cortana’s search box. The dashboard should be the first entry in our search results (Figure C). Chances are, you left-click on the link to launch the application, or simply right-click on it and add the link to the path to the Start menu or taskbar for quick future access.

2. Add To Desktop
