I have an Acer Revo 70 (with Windows 8) that refuses to “reboot”; concept based on a test after about 3 hours; it ends with the message “There was a serious problem restarting the computer.” I cannot reset or access my lower back in Windows 8. There are no “restore points” or they could be “system image” files on the computer. Where can I recover USB? Paste so I can reinstall Windows on this computer?

Sometimes the easiest way to fix the problem without losing data is sometimes to create a bootable flash to install Windows and boot from it to connect to a good image and our own Windows 10 8.1 recovery tools over time, so this will be a reassuring UEFI. boot image. • Thank you Billsi. Glad you contacted!

This is RL85-UR52.BIOS: P11-A3. Windows 10 Home 64-bit. I have SN, CMAC and MTA MAC number. Information from two years ago. There was no bootable CD or floppy drive included. It includes a wireless keyboard and mouse. There is most likely a recovery image on your hard drive. It will get stuck in the loop. The message will be sent and restarted. So it doesn’t seem like an “automatic fix”. Otherwise, it’s a great device.
Can I ask another computer to install a USB stick with Windows? And what is the approximate minimum return for such a bootable image from a USB flash drive? BTW, I have a bootable Windows 7 USB stick for an older Toshiba, but I’m not sure if it goes into auto-repair mode when used. I found it recently when I was preparing several existing machines for recycling.

  • Yes, generally everyone recommends using Rufus to create a disc, usually with an ISO image downloaded from Microsoft’s site. It seems a little more reliable than some of the others. Make sure a GPT / UEFI habitat is created (maybe the default environment,if you choose the Windows installation image). As you suspect, someone’s computer was buried with a factory dump, repair service and easy-to-read documentation, suggesting for your site to create recovery media with Acer attributes. However, major Windows updates every year fix this. I think they are trying to replace the image if you haven’t done it right. In the market, make sure that you can boot into the BIOS and proceed to diagnose the problem.
