“SQL Server does not exist or access is denied” is a message (Microsoft mdac Data Access Components) indicating that the computer running SQL Server can never be connected.

Could not connect to Microsoft SQL Server SQL Server does not exist or access denied?

Sometimes you get a “SQL Server does not exist or access is denied” error message when a remote connection to SQL Server is established, but the port is blocked by the supervisor for security reasons. The SQL Server instance is receiving results on port number 1433 (the default), so you need to check if a plug-in exception has been added to the firewall software.

First, your whole family should check if SQL Server is running or not.

To do this, run the “services.msc” command in the window.



2. The port may have been added to the firewall exception list

Sometimes the error message “SQL Server does not exist or access is denied” occurs when remote connection to SQL Server is enabled, but the port is probably blocked by the administrator for security reasons.

The SQL Server instance is running (by default) on port 1433, so you need to check which port is also adding the exception directly to the firewall Er.

To check for missing ports, do the following:

Go to Control Panel -> Open Administrative Tool -> Select Windows Firewall with Advanced Security.

Click inbound rules in the left pane and select New Rule…

To the futureFor their editions, enter “1433” in the “Specific Local Ports” field and simply click “Next”.

Under What if the connection matches the specified reflection? In the Allow the connection section, select an option and click Next. Loading=”lazy”

Check domain, private, public, what sections does this rule apply to? and next visit.

IP address of SQL Server instance blocked by firewall

To verify that SQL Server doesn’t exist and that access is denied based on IP address, ping the IP address on a get like request

If you get a response about the server, it means that there shouldn’t be an IP address blocking problem, but if it doesn’t, you need to add a new exception (see point 4 above).< /p >

To check if the MSSQLServer service is running, go to services.msc
and look for a list of MSSQLServer or even MSSQL$YourComputerName.
Check the status.

I don’t know if MSSQL Server (my
application is on a standalone PC) is running.

I’m using Windows 7 in XP mode because Windows 7 doesn’t work at all

I “registered” SQLOLEDB. As a dll, this was causing a new
error when trying to use SQL Server. NTMB23

Is the MSSQLServer service running?
What is a guest operating system?
